Sisters Fannie Chan and Connie Majoros learned about quality and fit from their mother, a Chinese immigrant who became a seamstress in New York’s Old Garment District. Most days, she brought her work home and kept the girls occupied with piece work and fabric scraps. From this necessity, they developed a love of fashion that would be become an integral part of their upbringing. Many years later, after pursuing careers in styling and finance, they came back to their hands-on fashion roots and launched femme d’armes, a brand grounded in strength and beauty, for women who are fearless in both their attitude and style.
In 2013, they rounded out their team with close friend and industry veteran Helena Lau. And, over the past three years, the brand has garnered a range of loyal fans that include model and actress Cara Delevingne and talk show host Chrissy Teigen.
The femme d'armes creed is wrapped in female empowerment. Each season, the team draws inspiration from a strong female figure as the collection's foundation. With her spirit in mind, Connie, Fan and Helena collaborate to design the collection, using lace, their signature fabric, in unexpected and modern ways. The result is a collection unapologetically feminine, invoking the strength, beauty and conviction of the femme d’armes woman. A woman who shows off her sexiest, most confident self.
Femme d’Armes is manufactured in New York City’s Garment District. The collection is sold at select boutiques, department stores and e-commerce sites internationally.
